COMPLETE LINE UP OF THE DAY:

Born in Leipzig in 1977, Paul Kalkbrenner is defined as Germany’s sound architect because he transforms electronic music into an extraordinary experience. He is not just a DJ, but a live artist who dismantles and reassembles his songs in front of the audience, creating a unique atmosphere at each performance. His story begins in Berlin, before the fall of the Wall. Raised in the effervescence of German reunification, at just thirteen years old Kalkbrenner defied the curfew imposed by his mother to play in youth clubs, forming a fundamental friendship with Sascha Funke.

Inspired by Detroit’s Underground Resistance, between 1992 and 1997, Kalkbrenner and Funke explored the world of techno music, digging through vinyl and immersing themselves in the most avant-garde productions. A radio show, the Rave Satellite, becomes their guide in the techno scene. Meanwhile, Kalkbrenner also trained himself musically at school, learning to play the trumpet and studying music theory.

After endless nights in the clubs of E-Werk, Planet and Walfisch, the dream of creating music becomes reality with the debut album “Superimpose” (2001) followed by various productions. But his genius goes beyond commercial success: Kalkbrenner brings his music to the big screen by playing the protagonist Ickarus in the film “Berlin Calling” (2008), by Hannes Stöhr, which fascinated the audience at the Kino Central in Berlin for several years . His song “Sky and Sand” (2009), taken from the soundtrack, is an anthem that won the hearts of over 200,000 fans, obtaining platinum certification and becoming a hit in the Belgian and German charts.

Even today Paul Kalkbrenner brings his magic around the world with performances that transform every concert into an experience that goes beyond simple listening: a total immersion in the compelling sound of a true master of electronic music.
